School Signals, a next-generation school communication and parent engagement platform, announced today that it has implemented industry-leading flexibility over posting rights.
The posting rights control feature allows administrators to balance open parent engagement with safe, moderated communication.
Unlike most school communication platforms, School Signals offers a comprehensive range of community posting options with customizable oversight. School Signals allows schools to determine how and where parents can post—whether in school-wide feeds, grade-level updates, classrooms, or parent groups. Posts and comments can be taken automatically live with the assistance of AI guardrails, or monitored and approved by school administrators to keep the feeds constructive. For instance, larger schools may consider holding some repetitive parent comments, while smaller school communities may set the feeds for more open comments to get immediate engagement. With the flexibility of settings, the platform unlocks school communication that is constructive, helpful, and on point.
With School Signals, we’ve developed the most flexible posting rights system in K-12 communication.
Flexible Posting Controls
Schools can decide if parent posts require administrator approval or if they can go live immediately with AI monitoring. Posting can also be limited to specific audiences, such as grade levels, classrooms, or parent groups. AI monitoring strictness can be set to high to catch any misuse. Teacher posts can bypass monitoring entirely to keep professional communication flowing.
Comment Visibility Options
Unlike other platforms where parent comments are locked down, School Signals lets schools choose how comments appear. Comments can be auto-hidden until review, made visible with AI monitoring, or left entirely open. Admins can also turn off all comments or close comments per post.
Safe, Positive Use Cases
Parents have been using School Signals’ feed with AI monitoring at an early-adopting private school in Oregon. There has been no misuse and no disruptions. The community effect of being visible to other parents has encouraged polite and constructive contributions.
“Schools deserve more than one-size-fits-all tools. Parents want a voice, and schools need a safe space for them to engage. With School Signals, we’ve developed the most flexible posting rights system in K-12 communication. It gives administrators real choices about how parents participate in their community while ensuring that communication remains constructive and secure,” stated School Signals CEO, James Shields.
