The Problem: District Updates Not Integrated with Everyday School Communication and Notifications

District leaders are responsible for communicating clearly, consistently, and at scale. Yet district updates often live outside the tools families use every day. District messages are posted to district websites, forwarded to schools, or shared through separate systems. Because these messages are not connected to teacher-parent communication platforms, parents are left checking multiple sources to find information. This gap creates uncertainty about whether messages were seen, understood, or trusted.

The Solution: District Communication Within the School Communication Platform

School Signals District Posts address this gap by placing district communication in the same School Feed families already rely on for school updates.

District leaders can publish a single post to all schools in the district or target specific schools, such as all high schools, without duplicating work. Posts are clearly labeled as District News, and families can filter their feed to view district-only updates.

District posts are integrated into the existing School Feed that families already access regularly. Parents and guardians can view and interact with district communication in the same place they receive school-related updates, reducing the need to switch between systems.

The Channel Flexibility: One-Way and Two-Way Communication Options

District posts support both one-way and two-way communication. Comments can be turned on or off, with moderation managed at the school level. The School Signals platform encourages respectful, meaningful online dialogue that supports positive and trustworthy interactions. All post deliveries are tracked by account, giving districts clarity into message reach.

Message Delivery Options

District Posts are managed from the district Admin panel and support scheduling, priority delivery via SMS notifications, and district-wide deletion with a single action.
Critical alerts override notification preferences and are delivered immediately to all available contacts.

The Value: A Unified School and District Communication Model

This release supports a unified school communication approach—one where district and school messages coexist in a single, predictable place, and families no longer have to search for information that affects them.
