Post Event Updates and Create Event Buzz in the Feed

Event feed is the place for updates and shoutouts. See you there!

A closed, identified community keeps conversations in check.

Student information and parent records are verified in School Signals. You will always know who is talking. There is no anonymous posting or hiding behind usernames.

Too often, district, school-wide, classroom, and PTA/PTO events are announced in a plethora of places, making it hard for families to keep up with school schedules.

When an RSVP is requested, parents may be sent to a third-party site where privacy concerns may persist. School Signals brings district, school, classroom, PTA/PTO, and after-school program events all into one platform.
The event system is perfect for hosting, announcing and collecting RSVP for school-wide gatherings, classroom celebrations, professional staff meetings, family nights, multi-day theme weeks, and volunteer opportunities.

Events are created by school administrators, teachers, and group organizers. The school calendar encompasses all created events within parents’ configured audience settings.
When an event organizer publishes an event, they can announce it in the School Feed and the applicable audience-based News & Updates Feed. An event organizer sets the date for reminder notification. Community members who follow the event or have RSVP’ed receive event updates, too.
Parents see an RSVP button when the event requests an RSVP. You can set events with or without RSVP. Parents select their RSVP answer: Yes, No, or Maybe. You can also ask for attendee names. Parents can leave a comment for the community on their RSVP. Like all features, the RSVP works from desktop, tablet, mobile web, and the mobile app.

Yes. Volunteering is an integral part of many school events. When families view an event, they can see related volunteer opportunities. Many events require parent volunteers to run smoothly.

For instance, a field trip may ask parents to volunteer in different roles, or a fall festival often offers many volunteer opportunities. A teacher or classroom parent may request a few parents to host a craft table. A book fair is often organized by the school’s PTA/PTO, with volunteers staffing check-out stations. The opportunities are expansive.

Yes. Schools can include online forms for events to collect information such as permissions, preferences, acknowledgements, or questions. The online forms can be created on School Signals, where all submissions are stored and tracked.
Parents can find all upcoming events on the Events page, where they can check details and RSVP when needed. Events are contextually also displayed in applicable Classrooms, Parent Groups, and After-school Programs.

Event organizers can also download a QR code and share it with families. The QR code is a link to the event page.

Parents are welcome to share photos from events, unless the school has chosen to restrict photo sharing for a particular occasion. Added event photos create a photo gallery for later reference. The photos appear on the event’s page and also on the Photo Galleries page. Admins have rights to remove pictures.
Yes. You can create events for teacher/staff professional development days, seminars, and parties, and publish them for teachers/staff only. School Signals supports internal teacher/staff communication, strengthening everyday communication and trust among teachers, administrators, and staff.
