Voice messages are created in the same interface where you add a post or a critical alert.
How to send a voice message when making a post
1. Click Add Post
2. Select Audience
3. Type your Message
4. Select the message type:
- Priority post (voice message), or
- Priority post (text + voice)
5. Share the post
Note: The following information is automatically added to the voice message:
- the call is made by School Signals for the school name
- the name of the admin or the teacher who created the message
- that the phone number does not accept incoming calls
- to contact the school for more information if needed.
How to send a voice message as a Critical Alert
1. Click the Critical Alert button
2. Type your message. Provide phone number in the message if needed.
3. Share the alert
Note: The following information is automatically added to the voice message:
- the call is made by School Signals for the school name
- the name of the admin or the teacher who created the message
- that the phone number does not accept incoming calls
- to contact the school for more information if needed.
Do I need to record or provide a sound file?
No. The Text-to-Speech technology creates the sound file.
Do I need to create language translated versions?
No. School Signals translates the text with AI Translate and creates the sound file from the translated text for parents who have opted to receive communication in their home language that is not English.
