Abbey Banta was an interdisciplinary teacher on an Alternative Education Campus (AEC), serving high-risk students for eight years before transitioning to an administrator role. As dean of students, she oversaw restorative disciplinary practices and implemented student re-engagement strategies focused on barrier identification and tailored solutions. She has a master's degree in psychology and has recently worked as an educational consultant, teacher trainer in Nepal, and freelance writer. She is currently enjoying life in London and staying active on the basketball court and Brazilian jiu-jitsu mats.
